Washington Oaks Wedding

Last Sunday was the wedding of Jennifer and Jason. They were married under a huge, old, magnificent live oak tree at Washing Oaks state park. This park is a popular and beautiful site for weddings. For just the couple and a few guests, the gazebo is a lovely site by the pond. The sea wall site overlooks the intracoastal waterway and is surrounded by tropical vegetation. The octagon is a large brick platform which the bride can approach through the rose garden. These last two sites can hold a much larger number of guests. Chairs are not necessary except for elderly or infirmed guests as with a fifteen to twenty minute ceremony, most guests are comfortable enough standing. If it is very warm, you can do what Jennifer and Jason did which was to give each guest a fan with the bridal couple's name on it, but the trees offer some shade which helps.
