Two different weddings

Saturday, Dec. 6th, was a busy day for weddings. At 11:30 AM David and Shalea along with their combined five children, were married at Hershel King Park in Palm Coast. Shalea also has a son serving in the military who could not attend but he was included in the medallion ceremony and a medallion was placed on a picture of him and will be sent to him. Having a picture of him up with the rest of the children was not as good as having him there but it helped his mom feel a little better about missing him. The backdrop of the intracoastal waterway was a lovely addition to the scene and it turned out to be a beautiful warm day in spite of the cold weather we have been having lately.
Our son Brett came down from New Jersey to visit for the week and having not seen him in almost a year, we knew how hard it is to miss a loved one. Brett works hard and doesn't get much time off so we treasure his visits very much.
At 4:30 that same day Diane and Shaun were married in the garden of The Oldest House in St. Augustine. Diane had a large wedding party of beautiful bridesmaids and handsome groomsmen. The bridesmaids wore cranberry colored gowns which were enhanced by the holiday decorations. Each bride should have the wedding just right for her, and each of the two ceremonies that day were very different. One was a celebration of the creating of a combined family and the other was a first wedding centered on the couple and acknowledging the part that friends and family play in supporting a couple with their love. That is our goal: to be sure each bride gets the wedding of her dreams.
